Tips & Gratuities (Croatia) Suggestions Your Instructor: Does Not Expect Tips. However: Once Your Course Has Fully Finished & De-Briefs Have Been Completed, Certificates Given Out, Or Action Plans Discussed. Feel Free To Show Your Gratitude. Dinning Out / Bars & Coffee Shops: In Croatia We Generally Do Leave Tips When Dinning Out Or Paying A Drinks Bill At The End Of A Night. Especially If You Have Had Good Service & Enjoyed Your Meal / Drinks. (Standard Gratuities: In Croatia Are Around 10-15% Of The Bill) * Generally suggested float amount will cover your expeneses for Breakfasts & Lunches and marina fees while onbaord. If you request expensive marina's each night you may need too top it up. Marina's in Croatia can cost upto €170 per night but come with water, electric and bathroom facilities. Anchoring and Restaurant Moorings are generally free. Note: this amount may increas or decrease depening on number of students onboard and the moorings you decide to use. *Float management is a crew task and part of understanding boat organisation. YST does not take any funds from your float contribution. Your instructor will open it up with you all at the beginning of your course. About The Course

The Day Skipper PLUS course is for Day Skippers lookign to improve there sailing skills without chartering a yacht. Looking to practise to move onto the RYA Coastal Skipper Practical and advance into the RYA Yachtmaster scheme.

This course is amore flexible approach to RYA training and you will have a chance to practice areas you wish to develop. The Dya Skipper PLUS course is adaptable to the students onbaord and will be a mix of allready qualified Day Skippers and Competent crew.

Develop your skills under the guidance of a RYA instructor.

Who Is This Course For?

This is not a specific RYA course and bridges the gap between RYA Day Skipper and RYA Coastal Skipper practical course learning.

What Type Of Course is this?

This is very much a hands-on practcial course. Navigation or other theoretical subjects can be included but we do advise you study these shoreside prior to joining. It is recommended you have taken the RYA Day Skipper Practical course prior. You will be sleeping onboard visiting different ports and bays throughout the duration of the course.
